S&S Melonz Quilt Pattern PDF

This quilt was never meant to exist....

I teach a class in my studio called “Speed Patch”. It is a combination of mystery quilt, quick and easy piecing, a pooling of fabric, and then everyone working on all blocks as either cutters, stitchers or ‘iron ladies’. We usually divide the spoils - with each student then making up their own version. Such sweaty fun with wonderfully surprising outcomes.

These blocks were my sample for one such class, they just kept being added to, using up fabric until the design board was full. My Melon Patchez blocks featured here are kept in a 4” format but were variously squished or stretched. The quilt itself was kept borderless for a change, which made it very quick to finish.

This PDF quilting pattern includes full fabric requirements, cutting instructions and step-by-step assembly guidance. You may customise it to your desired quilt size.
