Techniques used in their making are a combination of my favourite ways of cutting and stitching - nothing difficult, just slicing freely into a rough cut background, covering corners, then stitching the newly made star arms back together. Your heartz may be cut from the same fabrics or mixed scrappy pairs. Your backgrounds could be one constant fabric or you could cut many backgrounds and stitch together pieces at random for a multi colored look.
